Learn This Essential Skill From CAMN Chris Hyde
Hello campers! We’d love to see you tomorrow night, 7pm, at our Water Purification Workshop at Buzz Mill Coffee! Clean water is a must and all budding survivalists need to learn the best tips and tricks to purify it. Our instructor, Chris Hyde, is an active member and guide for the Capital Area Master Naturalists and a Wilderness First Responder as well as owning his nature school for kids, Natureversity.
We’re taking August off then coming back strong with our popular Knife Carving Workshop. Be sure to snag your tickets for this Thursday, September 7, class that includes a free knife with purchase!

Water Purification Workshop
You're lost in the wilderness, near a body of water, and need to drink. How will you purify your water so it is safe? Join the Lumber Society as we explore the basics of locating, collecting, and purifying natural water. Ticket purchase includes a free drink token and a Lumber Society Water Purification badge. When you think of knife carving does an old man on a rocking chair come to mind? If so, then we need to change that. Knife carving is essential for survival. You can turn a stick into a tool quickly and efficiently. Join us for a hands-on workshop and get the know-how from Camp Master Chris Hyde. Don't worry about bringing your own knife (unless you want to), the ticket purchase for this workshop includes a free knife! Plus a free drink token and Lumber Society Knife Carving badge. Please bring a notepad and pen to take notes.
